IRS: Don't miss out on Earned Income Tax Credit

The United Way Bay Area's "Earn It! Keep It! Save It!" campaign provides free tax assistance for households that earned less than $50000 in 2011, and helps to ensure that eligible taxpayers receive their earned income tax credit.

WATSONVILLE – If you re one of the more than 20000 Santa Cruz County families making less than $50000 a year, Uncle Sam may have a nice surprise for you at tax.

This event provides free income tax preparation to low and moderate income wage earners, especially those who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Free tax return assistance will also be available for small businesses that report on a Schedule C.
